She was born on Nov.
2, 1946, in Granger, Texas. She married the love of her life, Danny Mikulencak, on May 21, 1966.
Irene was a hardworking and determined woman who dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Irene spent nearly 60 years by the side of her husband, Danny.
Together, they worked hand in hand on the farm, building a life full of love and dedication.
Their bond was a true partnership, and Irene was a constant source of strength and support to him throughout their journey together.
A mother of three, Irene gave all of herself above and beyond to her children, Jo Ann, Sandra, and Darrell. She provided unwavering love, guidance, and support, always putting her family’s needs before her own.
Her dedication to her children was unmatched, and she worked tirelessly to ensure they had everything they needed to thrive.
Irene loved to spend her free time at the coast, where she found joy in fishing and soaking up the warmth of the sunshine. Those moments by the ocean, surrounded by her family, were some of her happiest.
Above all, Irene adored her grandchildren and great grandsons. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured the time spent with them, passing on her wisdom and warmth with every visit.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Frances Huff; in-laws, Arthur and Lillie Mae Mikulencak; brother, Louis Edward Huff; and sister, Linda Huff.
Irene’s legacy of love, dedication, and hard work will live on in the hearts of her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Danny Mikulencak; her children, Jo Ann and Casey Goetz, Sandra and Bill Hasten, Darrell Mikulencak; and her sister Glenda Huff. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Chase and Imogene Goetz, Calah Goetz, Landry Boscamp and Cade Boscamp and two greatgrandsons; Alaric and Alistair Goetz, all of whom will continue to carry her memory with love and gratitude.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Providence Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas.
Burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
