She was preceded in death by her parents, George Daniel Hughes and Irma Ruth (Jarmon) Hughes; her siblings, Lillian Clark, Gladys Mott, Ted Hughes, Winston Hughes and Layton Hughes; and her husbands, Lowell Berggren and John Gaulding.

Jean was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Barbara and Ron Beaman, and Kendall and Linda Berggren; her three grandsons, Chad Wyrick, Sam Berggren and Connor Berggren; her great grandson, Brayden Wyrick; and many nieces and nephews, who she loved very much. Funeral services will be held at the Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas, on March 17, 2025, at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
