He was a 1997 graduate of Taylor High School and then joined the Army, serving two years as a medic. Afterward, he worked in the information-technology industry and more recently in the gas industry.

He enjoyed fishing, barbecuing and playing music.

Chad will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of music. He enjoyed the company of family and friends and had a huge heart that was seen in his love for his friends, children, nieces and nephews.

He had a laugh that will never be forgotten; he will be deeply missed.

Preceding Chad in death are his mother, Shelley Dykowski, and grandmother Henrietta Gordon.

Survivors include sons Chase Dykowski, Jack Dykowski and Marshall Dykowski; father Mike Dykowski (Deborah); sisters Vanessa Lynch (Brendon) and Mallory Vrana (Matthew); nieces and nephews Houston, Preslee and Colin Lynch, Hayes and Andie Vrana; granddaughter Riley; aunts, uncles and cousins; and extended family and many friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
