Virginia Louise Sims

Virginia Louise (Kalinowski) Sims, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother, died Jan.1,

 

2025. She was 85.

Virginia was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Harris County, Texas. She grew up in Pasadena, Texas, where she later met and married Edward E. Sims on June 16, 1958.

Virginia and Ed had four children and eventually moved to the Taylor/ Coupland, Texas, area.

She ran the Coupland Store for many years, then retired to help raise her grandkids, greatgrandkids and so many other children who knew and loved her, including the children at the Trinity Lutheran Nursery.

Raising children was her biggest passion, in addition to nurturing beautiful flower beds and being an amazing cook.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, her parents, two siblings and one great-granddaughter, Jade.

Survivors include daughter Lisa Kruse and husband Calvin, son Tim Sims and wife Chris, daughter Tracy Denny and husband Bobby and son John Wesley Sims.

Additional survivors include grandchildren Kammi Sims, CJ Sims, Kristy Kruse, Christopher Kruse, Shelby Steiner, Trey Denny, Ryan Denny and Stevie Sims; and 13 great-grandkids including Brady, Huxley, Ryker, Jordan, Mason, Asher, Christopher, Gracie, John, Aniya, Clayton, Colton and Coy.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Coupland Cemetery, also known as St. Peters Church Cemetery, in Coupland.

Arrangements are under the direction of Condra Funeral Home in Taylor.

We will all miss you here on Earth, but we know it is not goodbye until we see you again.
