Gene married Dellois Carrin Becker of Thorndale on March 9, 1958. They were married for 61 years and raised two children while residing in Taylor. He worked at City National Bank before going into business for himself as a builder in the area for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his son, Jason Sefcik; and a brother, Kenneth Sefcik.

Survivors include his daughter Tammi (Randy) Stefanowicz; grandchildren Luke Kaspar, John Kaspar and Savannah Kaspar; and five nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Dec. 18 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Funeral services followed immediately after the visitation in the Providence Chapel.

The pallbearers were Luke Kaspar, John Kaspar, Canyon Murrah, David Sefcik, Dale Caffey and Tom Billingsley.
