Domingo Flores Herrera

Domingo Flores Herrera, 79, died Dec. 6, 2024. He was born March 4, 1945, in O'Donnell, Texas. Domingo spent half his life as a farmer in West Texas before moving to Taylor, where he worked as a truck driver and later retired from the city of Taylor after 20 years of service.

He was a man of integrity, kindness and wisdom. His unwavering love and dedication to his family were a source of strength and inspiration.

He taught his children the values of hard work, perseverance and compassion. Known for his strong work ethic and sense of humor, he also found joy in working on cars, spending time outdoors and helping family, friends and anyone in need. As a grandfather, Domingo cherished his time with his grandchildren, offering guidance, love and support. His presence brought peace and comfort to those around him, and his lessons will live on through the many lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Marcelina Herrera; and his sisters Francisa Casanova, Hermilinda Herrera, Juanita Garza and Hiliaria Casares.

Survivors include his loving wife Jesusa Cedillo Herrera; children Domingo Jr., Victor (Isabel), Raymond (Margie), Juanita, Juan, Anita (Ernesto) and Jesusa (Luis Miguel); siblings; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.

A funeral service was held Dec. 12 at Providence Funeral Home of Taylor.

Though he is gone, his love, lessons and memories will remain with us forever. Rest in peace, Dad. You are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
