Madge Fay ‘Missy’ Buchanan

Madge Fay “Missy” Buchanan, 62, died Dec. 16, 2024, in her home in Hutto, Texas. She was born Sept. 5, 1962, in San Antonio.

She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her warm personality, infectious smile, genuine laugh and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. She had a passion for pets and supporting the Texas Longhorns, musicians Alabama and NASCAR; Tony Stewart was her favorite driver, which she shared with her family and friends.

Despite many challenges in her life, Missy remained resilient and persevered. She was a fighter till the end, and her unwavering faith was an inspiration to us all.

She is preceded in death by parents Holden and Margaret Griffin.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, James Buchanan; stepson Jeramy Buchanan; siblings Robbie Martinez (Marty) and Laurie Respondek; nephews Ryan Mazac (Allyson), Dylan Stephens (Alexis), Collin Respondek and Austin Respondek; and great-nieces and nephews Sean and Amara Stephens, Roy and Adalida Mazac.

Her life will be celebrated 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec.

27, at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos G. Parker Blvd. NW in Taylor, Texas.

We will miss her dearly but take comfort that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
