He served in the military and worked as a maintenance associate for the University of Texas, where he retired in 1978. He also worked at Stepping Stone Apartments in Taylor for a number of years. Frank enjoyed playing music with Frank Vrana and the Melody Five, Ken and the Starlighters and others during his life. He also enjoyed building things, such as furniture and tiny houses for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sister Ruby Pavlasek of Hutto; daughters Angie Pietsch of Taylor, and Barbara Kelley of Temple; grandchildren, Avriel Pietsch of Tucson, Arizona, Casey Kelley of Washington, D.C., Mallory Martinez and Shannon Kelley of Temple, Texas; and two great-grandchildren Charlotte and Nolan Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Chasak; brothers Joe, Jerry and Lewis; and sisters Martha, Elizabeth and Josephine.

A graveside service was held Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at Holland Cemetery in Holland, Texas.
