Veda Marie Talafuse
Veda Marie (Bernard) was born June 30, 1946, in Taylor to Maurice and Ethel (Henninghaus) Bernard. She died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple after a long illness at age 78.
Veda worked in customer service for many years. She and Raymond Talafuse were married May 27, 1998, in Cameron.
Family and friends will always recall that she loved reading books, especially romance and western novels. She loved to travel with her husband and loved taking care of her family, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Kelley and Angela Pietsch, along with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at Pebble Grove Cemetery in Maysfield, Texas.
