Frances Mary Martinka
10, 1937, in Willamson County, to Joe and Theresie Smetana Roznovsky.
Frances was baptized at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. She attended Granger schools. She married Henry Daniel Martinka June 14, 1955, in the SSCM Catholic Church and celebrated the birth of their four children. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She worked hard to assist in providing for their family in various occupations and later as a full time mom and homemaker. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, canning her famous pickles, making holiday meals and homemade desserts.
Frances had a soft spot for animals. Her children never knew what new pet she may bring home next. She enjoyed gardening with the highlight being her magnificent roses.
Frances was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
Francics is survived by husband of 69 years, Henry; daughters, Pamela Gadison (Daniel), Nancy Lindemann and Amy Kay Martinka (Ted Kallus); and son, Patrick Martinka (Stacy Eddy).
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Austin Copeland, Christopher Copeland (Tori Canava), Ryan Lindemann (Kristen), Kayla Perez (Caleb),and Katelyn Martinka; and great-grandchildren, Harper, Maddox and Nolan Perez, Kennedy and Landry Lindemann.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 5 p.m. with a rosary following at 6 p.m. at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Granger.
