Helen Marie Kinlow

Helen Marie Kinlow, 72, of Hutto, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024. Helen was born Sept. 1, 1951, to Adam and Angelita Reese in Taylor, where she is the oldest of six siblings.

Helen welcomed Christ into her life at an early age and was an active member of The First Baptist Church in Taylor. Here, she sang in the choir, participated in the ladies mission work and was president of deaconesses. She always helped with Vacation Bible School, Thanksgiving Community Dinners and many more activities within the church.

After Helen graduated from high school, she went on to attend nursing school at Johns Community Hospital in Taylor.

She married Willie B. Kinlow April 18, 1974, in Cameron, and were married for 49 years. Together, they were blessed with two children a daughter, Monica Dawn Kinlow and a son, Willie B. Kinlow, Jr.

She worked at City National Bank for 20 years, where she was loved and well known by friends, customers and co-workers.

Once she retired, she enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, “Honey” and more than anything, being a grandma to her grandkids who affectionately called her “Honey”’ and “Paw Paw.”

One thing she always said was ‘When in doubt, pray about it. Let go and give it to God’ and with those sincere words and encouragement, everything always seemed to work out.

Helen was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Angelita Reese.

Helen is survived by her husband, Willie B. Kinlow, Sr. of Hutto; her daughter: Monica Dawn Kinlow of College Station, and her children, Reese McKenzie Wilson and Zachary Charles Wilson of Elgin; her son, Willie B. Kinlow, Jr. of Taylor, and his daughter, Faith LeeAnn Kinlow of Austin; siblings, Herbert Reese and wife Kim of Dallas, Opal Hightower and husband Glenn of Belton, Gwendolyn Reese of Taylor, Thomas Reese of Houston and Joyce Hall and husband Harry of Houston. Helen also leaves behind a host of relatives, nieces, nephews and other friends with memories to be cherished.
