She was born May 25, 1943, to Foster Towle Sr. and Mabel Louise Chandler at Salem hospital in Massachusetts and was a 1961 graduate of Marblehead High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold G. Nelson Sr and stepson David S. Nelson.

She is survived by good friends Leann and husband John Messenger of Marblehead, Cheryl and husband Darren Hall of Thrall, brother Foster Towle Chandler Jr. and wife Erin of Killington, Vermont, stepchildren Mike Nelson and wife Carol of Conroe, Harold G. Nelson Jr. and wife Ruth Ann of Oatmeal, and Melanie and David Heine of Thrall.

She was active with the Marblehead girl scouts and the girl’s softball program and was employed by the local Ford dealership as a bookkeeper/office manager for many years. She married Harold G. Nelson Sr. on March 14, 1983, and moved to Thrall. She was an active member of the local Red Hat society and former member of the Thrall VFD women’s auxiliary.

No services will be held in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Williamson County humane society.
