Taylor and Williamson County are under a Tornado Watch until 10 p.m. Monday, March 21.

The Taylor Texas Weather Network projects a 80% chances of showers and thunderstorms into the overnight hours. Some storms could be severe.

"The storms may form a line and move from west to east. All severe types are possible," said the National Weather Service (NWS) Austin/San Antonio Office. "While large hail is the primary risk, damaging winds and tornadoes may occur as well."

Winds will be in the 20-25 mph range with gusts as high as 40 mph. Rainfall up to one inch is possible. Otherwise, Monday's high will be 78 degrees with a low of 54 degrees.

Sunny weather should return on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 22-23, but temperatures should cool down into the upper 60s during the day and low 40s at night.

"Elevated to near critical, and possibly critical fire weather conditions will be the main concern each afternoon for the next several days," said the NWS Austin/San Antonio Office. "Periods of breezy conditions and low humidities along with continued dry vegetation are expected. Below normal temperatures mid week warm to above normal late week into the weekend. Mostly clear skies will prevail."

Highs should be back into the lower 80s by Friday, March 25.
