OCCUPATION: Real Estate Manager for QT South, LLC
POSITION RUNNING FOR: Mayor, city of Hutto
If elected, what will be your top priority?
My top priority would be to focus on infrastructure and not growth. We need to slow down and get back to basics like roads and water while keeping our taxes from rising.
What is the biggest issue facing Hutto right now?
To me, the biggest issue facing Hutto is the desire by some to grow the city faster than we currently are. We are losing our identity as a city with roads jammed with cars, water bills that are excessively high and taxes that continue to go up. All, in the name of growth.
Why are you running?
I am running for re-election to continue to represent the majority of Hutto who do not like the route we are going as a City Council. While I am one vote out of seven, I have a duty to make sure that the Eastern Williamson County Mindset does not take over Hutto and destroy our city.
Why should residents vote for you?
I have shown with my votes and leadership that I cannot be bought or persuaded to vote against the people of Hutto. I am all for growth. But the growth needs to be moderated and sustainable. Taxes cannot keep going up. People are being forced to move because of cost of living and I am voting regularly to put a stop to this.
