TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 15

A 25-year-old Taylor man learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant after officers at 2:27 a.m. responded to the 500 block of North Main Street. After a check, police took the man into custody on a warrant charging him with criminal trespass, a Class B Misdemeanor.

APRIL 17

A 32-year-old Thrall man spent some time in the Williamson County Jail after he was arrested on a pair of outstanding warrants. At 5:37 p.m., Taylor police responded to an unrelated 911 call in the 1000 block of Price Street. After finishing the call, officers had a stroke of luck when they spotted the man, whom they knew had warrants for theft of property and failure to identify – both Class A misdemeanors. He was taken into custody.

A 30-year-old Taylor man might want to think twice about leaving the scene of an accident, police said. At 8:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to North Drive at Northwest Carlos G. Parker Boulevard regarding a hit-and-run collision. While investigating, an officer observed a vehicle suspected of being involved in the incident traveling nearby. Officers stopped the vehicle in the 5100 block of North Drive and the occupant said he had fled the accident scene. He was taken into custody on a charge of collision involving damage, a Class B misdemeanor. Further investigation revealed the man to be in possession of a firearm. Now he faces other charges including driving with an invalid license, a Class B misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony.
