TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 10

A 32-year-old Taylor man may want to think twice about staying in places where he is unwelcome, as well as getting physical with law enforcement. At 9:09 a.m., officers with the Taylor Police Department responded to the 1200 block of CR 365, where an investigation revealed a man was on the property after having been issued a criminal trespass warning. He was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor. The man physically resisted officers and was further charged with resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.

A 59-year-old Taylor man ended up in handcuffs after police at 2:47 p.m. responded to a disturbance in the 1800 block of North Main Street. An investigation revealed a man physically assaulted another person, causing injury. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with assault with injury, a Class A misdemeanor.

APRIL 12

A 28-year-old Taylor woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor, after officers pulled her over at 9:35 p.m. in the 1600 block of Mallard Drive.

APRIL 13

A traffic stop at 1:50 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Main Street ended with a 42-year-old Taylor man headed to lockup and charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.

A 24-year-old Taylor man suspected of thievery and running from the scene of an accident wasn’t fast enough to evade police. According to reports, the case began at 6:14 p.m. when officers were dispatched to a single-car wreck near the 1100 block of West Lake Drive. The driver reportedly fled the scene on foot. Officers located the man, arrested him and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident, a Class B misdemeanor. Further investigation into reports that items were earlier stolen from Murphy USA, 105 Carlos Parker Blvd. N.W., led to an additional charge of theft under $100, a Class C misdemeanor.
