GEORGETOWN — Williamson County Commissioners Court members have named Liberty Hill Independent School District Superintendent Steven Snell as county judge to replace Bill Gravell, who resigned earlier this month to take a job in the Trump administration.
During a Thursday, March 27, afternoon special session, Snell was appointed from a field of four finalists. He will serve in that role until the next general election Nov. 3, 2026.
Gravell, who had been county judge since 2019, accepted a role as Region 6 advocate for the Small Business Administration in the Office of Advocacy.
