TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MARCH 17

A 62-year-old Taylor woman found out the hard way that hurting a family member is one way to go to jail. About 5:56 p.m., officers from the Taylor Police Department responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 200 block Fowzer Street. According to Taylor police, an investigation revealed that the woman reportedly assaulted a member of the household, causing injury. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with assault with bodily injury/family violence with a previous conviction, a third-degree felony.

MARCH 18

A 43-year-old Taylor woman reportedly didn’t learn her lesson about being in possession of illegal substances. About 3:30 a.m., Taylor police responded to the 600 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and made contact with the suspect, who had an outstanding warrant out of Austin’s Pardon and Parole Board for parole violation-possession of dangerous drug, a third-degree felony. The woman was also found to be in possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. She was placed under arrest for the warrant and further charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 1 over 1 gram, a third-degree felony.

A 45-year-old Taylor man learned that although he can run, he can’t always hide. About 4:23 p.m., Taylor police made contact with the man, who had an outstanding warrant out of Edwards County for parole violation-smuggling of persons, a third-degree felony. He was placed under arrest for the warrant.

MARCH 19

A 31-year-old Taylor man found out that it’s better to pay for items at a store than to just take them. About 6:10 p.m., Taylor police responded to a reported theft at HEB, 100 block of NW Carlos G. Parker Boulevard. An investigation revealed that the man stole items from the store. He was placed under arrest and charged with theft of more than $100, a class B misdemeanor.

MARCH 21

A 30-year-old Taylor woman might want to think twice about putting her hands on someone else in the future. About 12:27 a.m., Taylor police responded to a reported assault on the 1100 block of Fisher Street. An investigation revealed that the woman physically assaulted a member of the household, causing injury. She was placed under arrest and charged with assault with injury/family violence with previous convictions, a third-degree felony.

MARCH 22

A 54-year-old Taylor man will probably be more diligent in taking care of warrants in the future. About 3:45 a.m., Taylor police apprehended the man on the 300 block of Minden Street after it was revealed that he had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for assault with injury/family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

A 30-year-old Taylor man will probably not get behind the wheel anytime soon. About 8:35 p.m., Taylor police saw the man sitting in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle in the 4100 block of Hermann Sons Road. While there is generally nothing wrong with that, the man had an outstanding warrant out of Abilene for driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor. He was placed under arrest for the warrant, and was further charged with DWI-second offense, a state jail felony.

A 54-year-old Taylor man might consider giving up his keys the next time he has too much to drink. About 8:57 p.m., Taylor police conducted a traffic stop at the 1200 block of Jones Street and placed the man under arrest for driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor.

MARCH 23

A 58-year-old Taylor woman will probably keep her composure a little better in the future. About 1:08 a.m., Taylor police responded to the 2500 block of Donna Drive for a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed the woman physically assaulted a member of the household, causing injury. She was placed under arrest and charged with assault with injury/family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

A 47-year-old Taylor man will probably cooperate with law enforcement next time. About 4:45 p.m., Taylor police responded to a report of criminal trespass on the 100 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The man refused to leave the property and was placed under arrest, charged with criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor. He reportedly resisted officers and was further charged with resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, and attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer, a state jail felony.

A 17-year-old Taylor woman made contact with the wrong person. About 7:09 p.m., Taylor police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on the 1300 block of Marshall Street. An investigation revealed the woman assaulted a member of the household by contact. She was placed under arrest and charged with assault by contact, a class C misdemeanor.
