Two Taylor Ducks student-athletes signed their national letters of intent on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Senior Sophia Fisher committed to the University of North Texas at Dallas to play basketball, while senior Jamarcus Seawood signed with Southeastern Oklahoma State to play football.
Fisher has been a standout for the Ducks’ basketball team, spending three years on the varsity roster. She has averaged 9.1 points, 2.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game during her career. Fisher helped lead Taylor to district titles in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and will look to guide her team on a deep postseason run.
Seawood played two seasons on the varsity football team, with his best year coming in 2023. He recorded 570 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as the Ducks finished second in the district and advanced to the postseason.
