Livingston Fund accepting grant applications

The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley is accepting applications for grants through the Leo L. Livingston Fund, which benefits nonprofit organizations in

Taylor. According to sponsors, this charitable endowment fund was established in memory of Leo L. Livingston by Doris Livingston to benefit nonprofit organizations in Taylor. It is administered by the Bryanbased Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley, according to a news release.

A local grants review committee comprised of Taylor residents and business leaders is accepting applications from qualifying organizations for grants up to $10,000 for programs that support Livingston’s goals of continually improving the quality of life in Taylor.

Organizations seeking a grant must have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. The Grants Review Committee will consider supporting effective, established programs; helping launch innovative, new programs; or funding unique capital needs that increase an organization’s capacity.

Grants will not be made to underwrite or sponsor fundraising events or public-relations events.

The Livingston Fund may also be used to provide salary support.

Grant applications must be received via email or postmarked by March 7. Grant recipients will be notified no later than April 9.

Only one application per organization will be considered. Incomplete applications or applications missing the required information will not be considered for funding, officials said.

Applications should be mailed or delivered to the Leo Livingston Grant Review Committee, ATTN: Hejl & Schroeder, 311 Talbot St., Taylor, Texas 76574.

Applications will also be accepted via email to [email protected] and must be received by 5 p.m. March 7.
