Hutto nabs Eli Reinhart as new head football coach

HUTTO — The Hutto Independent School District will hire North Crowley offensive coordinator Eli Reinhart to replace former head football coach and current district athletic coordinator Will Compton. The announcement came Tuesday evening via the Hutto ISD Facebook page.

"I am incredibly excited for this opportunity to be the next head football coach and boys athletic coordinator at Hutto High School. I am excited to hit the ground running, get to know our kids and get involved with our great community. I’m ready to get invested into Hippo Nation," Reinhart said in a statement.

Reinhart recently helped lead North Crowley to an undefeated season, who under his leadership, averaged 54 points per game. He won the 2024 Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Offensive Coordinator of the Year award.

"Coach Reinhart is a natural leader who embodies excellence in his preparation and discipline. I am confident Coach Reinhart will continue his history of winning in Hutto by building champions on the field, in the classroom and in the community. We’re excited to welcome him to Hippo Nation," Superintendent Jeni Neatherlin said in a statement.

Reinhart will have plenty of offensive weapons at his disposal as the Hippos are set to return top starters in junior quarterback Kaden Stefek, sophomore wide receiver Jaden Fields and junior running back Kielan Chavies.
