The St. Mary’s Rams boys basketball team fell 60-25 to the Providence Prep Rams on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Senior guard Ty Zimmerhanzel led the team in points with 16.
The Rams were overwhelmed by Providence Prep as it was outscored 23-10 in the first quarter and 18-6 in the second quarter. The Rams were down 41-16 at the half and finished the game being outscored 19-6. Senior forward Kolbe Barta had 4 points.
Despite the loss, St.
Mary’s currently sits as the fourth-ranked team in the district with a 2-4 record. Zimmerhanzel has been a shining star for the Rams averaging 16.8 points per game. Barta is second in scoring with 7 per game.
St. Mary’s will look to finish the season off strong as it will face Grace Academy on Thursday, Jan. 30 before traveling to Memorial Christian Academy on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m.
