LOTT — The Thrall girls and boys powerlifting teams competed at the Rosebud-Lott meet on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The girls team earned a sixth-place finish, with four lifters placing in their respective weight classes. Ava Polamo took third in the 97-pound weight class, Gracie Webb placed second in the 114-pound class, Mikayla Velasquez finished fourth in the 123pound class and Gracie Fitzgerald secured second in the 220-pound class.
The boys team finished 10th overall, led by standout performances from Fidensio Salazar and Dakota Marak. Salazar claimed second in the 123pound weight class, while Marak earned third in the 242-pound class.
The Tigers return to action on Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Cameron meet before competing at the Milano meet on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Milano High School gym.
