Girls’ soccer
The Taylor girls earned a commanding 4-0 victory over Smithville. With the win, the Ducks improved to 6-4-1 overall and 2-0 in district play, extending their winning streak to three matches.
Taylor’s victory was a team effort, with four players finding the back of the net. Senior Kaleigh Woods, junior Eliana Aleman, junior Avery Paulson and freshman Kinzie Johnson each scored for the Ducks.
Taylor will return to action at home against Giddings on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 5:15 p.m., before hosting Rockdale on Friday, Jan. 26, at 5:30 p.m.
Boys’ soccer The Taylor boys were equally impressive, picking up a 5-0 victory over the Tigers. The Ducks had three players score goals, including sophomores Adam Torres and Adrian Molina, who each scored twice, and Aaron Grimaldo, who added one goal. Taylor improved to 3-2-1 overall and remained 2-0 in district play.
The Ducks will be back at home versus Rockdale on Friday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m.
