MARBLE FALLS — The Taylor Ducks boys basketball team fell 70-59 to Marble Falls on Tuesday, Jan. 14, marking their fourth consecutive loss. The Ducks dropped to 10-10 overall and 1-4 in district play.
Senior forward Eli Laurence led Taylor with 21 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 9-of-18 from the field. Senior guard TJ Whybrew added 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting. However, the Ducks struggled to find offensive support beyond their top two scorers, with no other player contributing more than six points. Defensively, Taylor allowed Marble Falls to shoot 51% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc.
The Ducks will look to snap their losing streak when they face Salado on Friday, Jan. 17, before hosting Lampasas on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 7:30 p.m.
