Thrall vs. C.H. Yoe
The Tigerettes snapped a three-game losing streak with a dominant 40-21 win over C.H. Yoe on Dec.
31. Thrall’s defense was stellar, holding Yoe to 20% shooting and forcing 25 turnovers. The turnovers created numerous fastbreak opportunities, allowing the Tigerettes to dictate the pace of the game. The 21 points were the thirdfewest allowed by Thrall this season.
Thrall vs. Lexington
The Tigerettes faced a tough Lexington team on Jan. 3, falling 60-47. Defensive struggles plagued Thrall, as the Eagles shot 40% from the floor. After trailing 19-10 in the second quarter, junior guard Kinley Hoffman knocked down a three-pointer to trim the deficit. However, a 13-3 Lexington run extended the Eagles’ lead to 32-16, and the Tigerettes trailed 33-22 at halftime.
Despite Hoffman’s continued efforts, including another threepointer before the buzzer, Thrall couldn’t match Lexington’s offensive firepower.
Thrall vs. Rockdale
Thrall bounced back on Jan. 7 with a 32-23 win over Rockdale. Once again, the Tigerettes’ defense took center stage, limiting Rockdale to its second-lowest scoring total of the season.
Thrall vs. Little River Academy
The Tigerettes struggled mightily against Little River Academy on Jan. 10, suffering a 73-9 loss.
Thrall shot just 14% from the field and failed to convert a three-pointer in the game. The Tigerettes will return to action on Friday, Jan. 17, hosting Brazos Christian at 6:30 p.m.
