Learn to grow with Wilco Master Gardeners

GEORGETOWN — The Williamson County Master Gardeners want to help area green thumbs expand their living spaces into their yards with informational programs.

“Green Thumbs Up” is held monthly at several area public libraries including the Hutto Public Library, 500 W. Live Oak St. in Hutto.

Other public library locations include Jarrell, Round Rock and Cedar Park.

According to a spokesperson, “Every month you’ll have the opportunity to take in the free, educational gardening program given by an experienced area Master Gardener. With four different locations and times, you’re sure to find the one that works for you.”

This month, Master Gardeners Pam DenOtter and Genie Rich will present, “What Should I Plant in my Central Texas Garden?”

The next session is Jan. 13 and features Gayle Engles of the American Botanical Council.

According to the spokesperson, “The monthly meeting is open to all residents. You do not have to be a Master Gardener to take advantage of this free educational gardening program.”
