Christmas toy drive h its home run

The Taylor Area Baseball and Softball organization hosted its annual Christmas Toy Drive Tournament on Dec. 7-8 at Bull Branch Park, collecting over 130 toys for children ages 1-17.

Locals were encouraged to donate unwrapped gifts, which were later given to the Taylor Fire Department to support area families during the holidays.

Donated toys were placed on a table in one of the dugouts, with over 130 gifts collected during the Christmas Toy Drive Tournament.

The event featured a competitive bracket-style tournament for 10U Little League teams, drawing participation from across the region.

Attendees enjoyed burgers and barbecue while cheering on the players.

The Killeen Royalty and Pflugerville Jingle Ballers emerged as the top teams, advancing to the finals.

In a championship game, the Killeen Royalty claimed the title, capping off a successful event that sponsors said was filled with community spirit and holiday cheer.
