At 5:42 a.m., police rushed to Rices Crossing Road and South Main Street to investigate a motor-vehicle crash in which one of the involved vehicles had left the scene. Officers located a 20-year-old Taylor man traveling away from the site in a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and, after an investigation, placed the motorist under arrest, charging him with collision involving damage to vehicle — leaving the scene, a Class C misdemeanor.
Officers at 8:31 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Main Street responded to a report of a man standing in the roadway. Officers contacted a 28-year-old Taylor man who appeared intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and charged with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
At 1:22 p.m., police went to the Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St., for reports of a 21-year-old local man being at the building although he had an active criminal trespass warning against him, banning him from the facility. The man was in the library and was charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor.
DEC. 17
At 4 p.m., officers in the 300 block of North Robinson Street apprehended a 49-year-old Taylor man who had five outstanding Class C warrants out of Taylor: two counts of speeding, two counts of driving while license invalid and a count of failure to maintain proof of financial responsibility.
DEC. 21
Police were informed at 10:08 a.m. that a 44-year-old Taylor woman had been arrested by another agency for an outstanding warrant out of Taylor — assault with injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
