Scholarship available

The TAB organization promotes the enrichment of women who serve their community through their volunteer efforts and providing scholarships for young women graduates from the Taylor area, including Thrall, Hutto and Granger.

The TAB organization promotes the enrichment of women who serve their community through their volunteer efforts and providing scholarships for young women graduates from the Taylor area, including Thrall, Hutto and Granger.

Criteria to be considered when selecting a scholarship participant will include volunteerism, community services, employment, leadership and a grade point average of at least 2.4.

Chosen recipients must be enrolled in least nine semester hours. Funds can be used to attend a university, technical or trade school.

Applications must be received or postmarked by May 4 and must include the following:

• completed application;

• current high school transcript;

• copy of school acceptance letter(s); and

• typed essay

A letter of recommendation is optional. Information is confidential and will be used for the sole purpose of selecting TAB Scholarship recipients.

Applications can be picked up at the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce, local schools or by contacting Regina Jo Carlson at [email protected] or any TAB member.
