Home sales have begun in Hutto’s Flora development, a new 2,800-home master-planned community by Precedent Land Company located south of Chandler Road, off CR 133 — just minutes from Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, according to a news release.

“This is an exciting moment not just for us, but for the area,” Steve Sellers, President of Precedent’s Texas Division, said in the release.

“Hutto is growing, and the community has been eagerly watching the development of Flora, and we’ve had numerous requests about when sales would begin. We are happy to say that sales have started.”

Five builders have begun to sell homes in Flora. Brightland Homes offers nine different designs for 40-foot, alley-loaded homesites, priced from the $360,000s and ranging from 1,740 to 2,710 square feet. Highland Homes offers 60-foot properties with 17 floor plans, ranging from 2,573 to 3,799 square feet, priced from the $560,000s.

Empire Communities has also started sales for homes designed for 40- and 50-foot lots, ranging from 1,527 to 3,249 square feet, priced from the low $300,000s. Perry Homes offers 50-foot homesites with 27 different floor plans, ranging from 2,100 to 3,000 square feet, priced from the $500,000s. Meritage Homes offers six alleyloaded floor plans, ranging from 1,491 to 2,382 square feet, priced from the $340,000s.

Tri Pointe Homes expects to begin sales by year’s end and will offer homes designed for 40-foot homesites, and Westin Homes will have homes on 60-foot homesites.

The Flora community’s first phase will include 400 homes on 835 acres and will feature amenities such as a welcome center, clubhouse, resort-style pool, fitness center, playground, splash pad, a Market Square for farmers markets and other gatherings and more, according to the news release. A creek that runs through the property will also be enhanced with native plants and trails.

“With a focus on lifestyle, Flora will be a place where you can plant roots, get to know your neighbors and build community,” Sellers said in the release.
