Taylor was once again a national award winner for its participation in the annual National Night Out event, according to a news release.
Thanks to the efforts of the residents of Taylor, working alongside their Police and Fire Departments, as well as other local emergency responders, the city received high recognition from the National Association of Town Watch.
Taylor ranked 12th in the nation and third in Texas in its category of cities having over 15,000 and under 49,999 in population. In 2023, Taylor ranked 14th in the nation and third in the state for the same city-population category, according to the city’s website.
“Taylor’s National Night Out 2024 was an incredible success,” Taylor Police Chief Henry Fluck said in the release. “I am proud that our city is once again being nationally recognized for our efforts. I commend Claudia Parisella, the program coordinator, along with city management, and city council members who participated this year.”
The Taylor Police Department would like to express its appreciation to all those who participated in National Night Out 2024 and made it a successful community event.
