GEORGETOWN — Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of the county, effective Friday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m., according to a news release.
The county urges residents to be cautious with any outdoor buning activities, and outdoor burning must be conducted in compliance with state regulations.
Prior to conducting control outdoor burning, the county recommends taking the following steps:
- Contact your local fire department, as some fire departments may require a burn permit.
- Contact Williamson County Communications to report the control burn at 512-864-8282, who will inform of any restrictions that may exist.
The order for terminating the burn ban can be found on the county’s website at wilcotx.gov.
