12th annual Tree of Angels event to honor violent crime victims

The Williamson County District Attorney’s Office invites the community to the lighting of the 12th Annual Tree of Angels to honor victims of violent crime. The ceremony takes place 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Historic Williamson County Courthouse in the 26th District Courtroom, located at 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Texas.

This ceremony allows the community to remember families whose lives have been impacted by violent crime. Families and friends of victims and survivors of a violent crime are invited to bring an angel ornament to place on this special tree. The evening also includes the dedication and lighting of the unadorned Tree of Angels and victims/ families/friends adorning the tree with their angel ornaments.

The general public and news media are welcome to be a part of the evening’s event.

This year, the trees will remain up for public viewing from Dec. 3 through Dec. 17.

This will allow those who were unable to attend the ceremony to come and honor loved ones.
