Agape Food Bank of Taylor hosted its ninth annual frozen turkey distribution, sponsored by Oasis Church on Friday, Nov. 15. The event drew a record turnout, with cars lining up in three lanes that extended from the parking lot onto Main Street.
Volunteers worked tirelessly from 5:30 p.m. until late into the night, loading cars and trucks with Thanksgiving turkeys and sides.
This year’s distribution served 525 individuals, providing a total of 7,728 pounds of food to ensure families could enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together — completely free of charge, according to Oasis Church pastor Mary Flores.
