The Hutto Hippos wrestling team went 3-2 in the first match of the season at the Vandegrift Duals on Saturday, Nov. 16. Hippos girls wrestler Shaina De Luna finished a perfect 4-0 with four total pins.
JoJo Ariaza won her debut match with an impressive pin. The Hippos defeated Glenn and Shoemaker but lost to Bowie and went 1-1 versus Vandegrift.
Hutto’s next matchup will be in the Capital Classic on Friday, Nov. 22, starting at 9 a.m. at the Delco Center.
