The Thrall Tigerettes’ impressive
season ended Thursday, Nov. 7, when West High School defeated them 3-0 in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.
Thrall finished the season 28-9 overall and second in the district.
The Tigerettes got off to a rough start in this matchup, losing the first set 25-11 but fighting hard in the next two sets, losing both 25-19. This was another historic season for Thrall as they made the postseason and won the first round 3-1 against the Westwood Warriors. The Tigerettes finished the regular season ranked 25th in the Girls Coaches Association Class 3A poll.
Some of the top performers for Thrall this season were junior middle/ outside hitter Brynn Leschber, senior outside hitter Amber Kevil and senior setter Emily Holybee. The future looks bright for the Tigerettes as they are set to return eight of their 10 starters for next year.
