The Taylor Independent School District observed National School Bus Safety Week Oct. 21-25.
Taylor ISD Director of Transportation Carl Caldwell said National Bus Safety Week serves as a reminder to students, parents, teachers, motorists and the community about the time, care and dedication bus drivers give in keeping students safe.
“Today, I want to take a moment to recognize all the hard work and commitment that the Taylor ISD transportation team puts into ensuring the safety of our students on a daily basis,” Caldwell said.
Millions of children across the nation ride on school buses every day, and safety is always the number 1 priority in keeping school buses as one of the safest forms of transportation on the road, Caldwell added.
“If you get the chance, I invite you to give a ‘Thank you’ to the drivers and monitors for the service they give to Taylor ISD students and staff,” Caldwell said. “I personally thank each of them for all that they do. Keep up the amazing work.”
