The Thrall Tigerettes will face the Palestine Westwood Panthers in the Class 3A Division II bi-district round of the playoffs on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Hearne High School.
The Tigerettes enter the matchup after an impressive season, finishing 28-7 overall and 10-2 in district play. Thrall, currently on a four-game winning streak, hopes to carry that momentum into the postseason.
The Tigerettes are led by junior hitter Brynn Leschber and senior setter Emily Holybee.
Thrall is ranked No.
25 in Class 3A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
The Panthers have also had a strong season, ending with a 25-11 overall record and 8-4 in district play. Westwood closed the year by winning four of its last five games.
The Panthers are led by senior hitter/setter Brylee Mitchell and sophomore Audrey Calzada.
If Thrall wins, it will advance to the area playoffs, scheduled for Nov. 7-9, with the opponent to be determined.
The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
