The Taylor Ducks varsity volleyball team closed out its season with a tough 3-0 loss to the Salado Eagles on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
The Ducks wrapped up 2024 with a 6-29 overall record and a 2-10 mark in district play.
The Ducks faced a challenging start, dropping the first set 25-6, but showed resilience with a much stronger performance in a close 25-22 second set. In the third, Taylor fell 25-12, marking its sixth straight loss and a difficult end to the season.
Junior setter/hitter Peyton Wamble led Taylor with five kills and five digs.
Sophomore hitter Tiana Candee added four kills and five blocks, while junior libero McKenna Watson contributed a team-high eight blocks.
Despite the tough finish, Taylor looks to the future with optimism, as several starters from this season are set to return next year.
