The Thrall Tigers varsity football team will travel to face the Rogers Eagles on Friday, Nov. 1.
The Tigers enter the matchup on the heels of a 61-47 victory over Comfort, while the Eagles are coming off a bye week.
This game will determine the third-place finisher in the district, with both teams currently holding one win in district play. The result will be crucial in establishing playoff seeding.
Thrall’s offense, averaging 42 points per game, is led by senior quarterback Chance Parker, who’s been connecting consistently with top target and fellow senior wide receiver Landon Gregory.
Meanwhile, the Eagles’ offense has also impressed, averaging 35.2 points per game and relying heavily on their ground game, led by junior quarterback Tyson Sisneroz and senior running back Blayton Watkins.
Both teams have faced defensive challenges this season; Thrall has allowed an average of 35 points per game, while Rogers has given up 50. The Tigers will aim to exploit a vulnerable Eagles’ defense as they look to end the regular season on a high note.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Merk Field.
