St. Paul Lutheran Church is celebrating its 110th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 20 with a 10 a.m. worship service and an event following in the Fellowship Hall.
The event will serve a lunch of ham and chicken and features a silent auction and a variety of games for family and friends. Congregants are encouraged to bring side dishes to accompany lunch.
The present church building, located at 401 W. Seventh St., was built in 1957, but the church began as the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Taylor when it was organized in the fall of 1914 by the Rev. C. Stadler in an upper room of the Grau Building on Main Street.
