The Taylor Ducks varsity volleyball team defeated the Lampasas Badgers in straight sets 3-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
This marks the Ducks' first win in nearly a month, ending their five-game losing streak.
Taylor competed in a tough first set winning 25-23 before dominating the Badgers 25-17 in the next two sets.
This win could give the Ducks the momentum they need the rest of the season as they improve to 6-24 on the year and 2-5 in district play. Taylor has five games left on the season so now would be the time to make a late run.
The Ducks will have to do this versus some heavy competition. On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Taylor will travel to Jarrell on the road before hosting Burnett on Friday, Oct.
18.
The last time the Ducks played these two teams, they were swept by Burnett and lost to Jarrell 3-1. The first serve for both games is set for 6 p.m.
