Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry & Community Ministries will host the 6th Annual Empty Bowl FUNdraiser 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, in Potter’s Alley.
Tickets for pottery bowls handcrafted at the Art Off Center can be purchased for $20 online at shepherdshearttaylor. org or at the event.
The center is 116 W. Second St. in the McCrory Timmerman Building, and Potter’s Alley runs behind the structure.
Koozies for buyers’ new bowls can also be purchased at the event for $10.
The empty bowls serve as a reminder of the food insecurity that the pantry works to combat in east Williamson County, organizers said.
When supplies from the Central Texas Food Bank and the pantry’s own drives are not enough, Shepherd’s Heart officials ask the community to “open (their) hearts” and “open (their) hands.”
