St. Mary's crowns homecoming rotalty

St. Mary’s Catholic High School held its 2024 homecoming festivities Sept. 20.

The day included an all-school pep rally filled with mums and garters and ended with the homecoming football game at Memorial Field. The game also marked “Meet the Rams Night,” during which all fall sports student athletes and band members were recognized.

During halftime, the 2024 St. Mary’s homecoming queen and king, Grace Johnson and Kolbe Barta, were crowned.

St. Mary’s 1964 Homecoming Queen Annette Veselka Maruska and 2023 Homecoming Queen Victoria Sheffy assisted in the crowning. In addition, alumni Tim Mikeska and Mike Vanecek drove Johnson and Barta around the stadium in fixed-up convertible cars to honor them.

The Rams are back in action 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 as they travel to take on Waco Christian in Robinson. For all sports schedules, visit stmarystaylor.org.

Fun was had by all who took part in the St. Mary’s Catholic High School homecoming festivities Sept. 20.
