A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of the CR 366 widening project in Taylor, according to a Sept. 18 media release.
The project cost $17.9 million, funded through the 2019 Williamson County Road Bond. Taylor contributed $1 million to the project, officials said.
The existing two-lane roadway was upgraded to a three-lane roadway with continuous center turn lanes and shoulders from Chandler Road to just north of Carlos G. Parker Boulevard N.W.
The intersection with Parker was realigned to eliminate the existing curve and upgraded the road to five lanes including turn lanes, shoulders and a traffic signal, according to the release.
“Today, we complete another greatly needed project in Williamson County. The expansion of CR 366 will provide the community of Taylor with improved mobility and safety,” said Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles at the ceremony. “The improved concrete intersection will increase the project’s longevity and safety.”
