CORRIDOR K

Corridor K is now Arterial K. Here is the latest: • Location: From Interstate 35 at Texas 195 to East WilCo Highway.

• Description: Part of the Williamson County Long-Range Transportation Plan, the project is envisioned as an east-west connection as the county “... continues to experience exponential growth.” The link is currently under study to determine the best alignment and roadway section for the east-west route from I-35 to East WilCo Highway.

• Status: Originally planned as a 350-foot right-of-way corridor road project, it has since been downsized to an arterial road with a 150-foot right of way. Contingent on funding availability, a single, three-lane highway would be built first — with one lane traveling east and another headed west — with a dedicated turn lane in the middle. As growth occurs, a second, three-lane roadway would be built with three lanes traveling east and an equal number traveling west.
