TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

SEPT. 9

At 7:06 a.m., Taylor police learned a 43-year-old Taylor man was arrested by another agency for an outstanding warrant out of Taylor (theft of property over $2,500 with two or more prior convictions, a state-jail felony.)

SEPT. 11

At 8 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Scott Street regarding an active disturbance. Officers arrived and detained a 23-year-old Taylor man who had been combative and resisted the initial responding officers. An investigation revealed the man had damaged property and assaulted a family member. He was charged with criminal mischief greater than or equal to $100, less than $750, a Class B misdemeanor, and assault causes bodily injury – family violence with previous convictions, a third-degree felony.

At 1 a.m., an officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle stopped 400 feet from the intersection of Chandler Road and North Main Street. The driver, a 22-year-old Georgetown resident, was observed asleep at the wheel while the vehicle was in the roadway. An investigation revealed the motorist to be intoxicated, leading to a charge of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.

SEPT. 12

Officers at 7:49 p.m. responded to a reported assault in the 1500 block of Prather Street. An investigation indicated a 41-year-old Taylor man had assaulted a family member after an argument, which caused visible injury. The individual was arrested for assault causing injury – family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

SEPT. 13

An officer after 9 p.m. observed a 41-year-old Taylor man in the 1900 block of North Main Street and knew the individual had an outstanding warrant through the Taylor Police Department. The man was contacted and arrested on the outstanding warrant, which charged him with indecent assault, a Class A misdemeanor.

SEPT. 14

At 11:48 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Wyeth Street. The driver, a 28-yearold Taylor woman, was identified and an investigation revealed an outstanding warrant out of the Taylor Police Department for theft of property, greater than $100, less than $750, a Class B misdemeanor. The individual was taken into custody.

At 2 p.m., police learned a 27-yearold Taylor man had surrendered himself to the Williamson County Jail for an outstanding Taylor warrant for assault causes bodily injury – family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.

SEPT. 15

At 6:08 a.m., a license-plate reader made a hit notification to police about a stolen 2004 Nissan Xterra driving eastbound in the 12000 block of West Second Street. Officers observed the reported stolen vehicle traveling eastbound in the 3000 block of West Second and verified through Taylor Police Department dispatch the vehicle had been reported stolen out of the Rockdale Police Department.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of West Second and the 35-year-old Lubbock driver was taken into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony.

At 9:47 p.m. in the 3700 block North Main Street, officers conducted a warrant service and took a 40-year-old Taylor man into custody for the following warrants out of the Taylor Police Department: assault causes bodily injury – family violence, a Class A misdemeanor and credit card or debit card abuse, a state jail felony.
