Pedestrian killed in fatal collision

The Taylor Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that left one pedestrian dead on Monday morning, according to a press release.
Gary Dale Krause, 66, of Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene of the deadly colission that occurred at 6:11 a.m. in the 3700 block of north Main Street. Krause was hit by a black 2014 Dodge driven by Jesus Angel Huicochea, 19, of Houston.
Huicochea was traveling southbound when his vehicle hit Krause who was crossing the roadway. No charges are currently pending, but the investigation into the collission continues, according to the release.
The fatal collision is the second one in Taylor so far in 2024.
