The sixth annual Tim Bartosh Memorial Golf Tournament is set to tee off on Monday, Sept. 16, at 9 a.m. at Berry Creek Golf Course in Georgetown. The event, hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of East Williamson County, aims to raise funds for the nonprofit organization.
Branch Director Gerald Walker emphasized the importance of the Boys & Girls Club to the community, highlighting its role in providing affordable child care for local families.
“We average close to 150 kids here every day, and we are one of the few clubs that accept five-year-olds — most clubs start at six or seven,” Walker said. “We keep our prices low and offer generous hours, which greatly benefit families, especially during the summer.”
The entry fee for the tournament is $100 for individual players and $600 for a foursome. Businesses are encouraged to sponsor the event, with sponsorship packages ranging from $250 for hole sponsorship to $5,000 for title sponsorship.
Sponsorships include social media recognition, logo placements, signage and custom team polo shirts. The event will also feature a hole-inone challenge, giving participants a chance to win a Tesla Model 3 if they successfully sink the shot.
Walker encourages everyone to come out and play for a good cause, adding, “A bad day of golf is better than a great day in the office.”
